The Rodriguez family have been in the specialty coffee industry since 1986. Pioneering the way for many other Bolivian farmers, the Rodriguez's have dedicated their lives to producing the best coffee they can. They are constantly learning and innovating, always looking for new ways to produce a better cup of coffee.
Determining the correct varieties to plant in a farm or region is one of the most important first steps in coffee production. Many varieties require specific conditions in order to produce the best quality and quantity possible. The Rodriguez family spends a lot of time researching varieties and Batian has emerged as a great fit for Bolivia's climate and soil. Originally developed in Kenya for drought and disease resistance, it is performing very well in Bolivia.
